- A stamp is a compact bordered badge placed at one spot; a watermark is translucent text tiled or laid diagonally across the whole page. Use whichever fits.

A stamp tells everyone where a document stands — DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, APPROVED, FINAL — without changing the content. This tool draws a bold, bordered badge in the color you choose and anchors it to the corner, edge, or center you pick, on every page.

Start from a common preset (each comes with a sensible color — red for DRAFT, green for APPROVED, blue for FINAL) or type your own text. Adjust the size and opacity to make it assertive or subtle, and position it with the 3×3 grid so it doesn't cover important content.
Notes and limits
The stamp is drawn locally, so your document never leaves your device. For a translucent overlay spread across the page rather than a single badge, use Watermark instead.
How the stamp gets onto the page
The stamp isn't a floating annotation you can toggle off later — it's drawn straight into the page content, the same way any other graphic on the page is. That makes it permanent in the resulting file: reliable to open in any viewer, print, or forward, because there's no separate annotation layer that a different PDF app might hide or strip. If you need a marking that stays removable or editable later, this isn't the tool for that; a stamp is meant to be final.
Where stamps actually get used
Teams use a DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL stamp to stop an in-progress document from being mistaken for the finished version when it's shared outside a small group. An APPROVED or REVIEWED stamp works the other way, marking a document as cleared without needing a separate cover sheet or email trail. Because the badge sits in one fixed spot rather than tiling the page, it stays legible next to dense text or tables, which makes it a better fit than a full-page overlay for most business documents.
Combine with other tools
