Files never leave your device. How it works

How to rotate a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF above (or click to select).
  2. Click a page to rotate it 90°, or use Rotate all left/right.
  3. Click Apply, then download the corrected PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
No. Rotation happens entirely in your browser — your PDF never leaves your device.
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Click any single page to rotate it, or rotate the whole document at once.
Is the rotation permanent?
The downloaded PDF opens at the corrected orientation everywhere, so yes — it's saved into the file.

Straighten out a sideways scan

Phone scans and photographed documents often come out rotated — landscape when they should be portrait, or upside down. HivePDF fixes it visually: every page is shown as a thumbnail, and a click rotates it 90°. Rotate a single stubborn page or spin the whole document at once, then download. It all happens in your browser.

Per-page or whole-document

Mixed orientation is common in scans, so you can rotate each page independently until every one sits the right way up. If the entire file is rotated the same way, the Rotate all buttons handle it in one step. The thumbnails update live so you can see the result before you apply.

Good to know

Rotation is written into the saved PDF, so it displays correctly in any reader. Everything runs locally — your document never leaves your device. To also reorder or remove pages, use Organize.
