- Does the PDF need fillable form fields?
- No. Fill & Sign types text and draws your signature directly onto the page as content, so it works on any flat PDF — printed forms, scans, contracts — that has no interactive fields.
- How do I add my signature?
- Click Create signature to draw it, type it, or upload an image. Then click on the page to place it, and drag the corner to resize.
- Is this a legally binding e-signature?
- It adds a visual signature, which is enough for most everyday forms. It is not a certified multi-party e-signature service with identity verification or an audit trail.
Type and sign, right on the page
Most forms that land in your inbox are flat PDFs with nowhere to click — so you end up printing, filling, signing, and scanning. Fill & Sign skips all that: click anywhere to drop a text box and type, add checkmarks or dates the same way, then place your signature. Everything is drawn onto the page, so it works even when the PDF has no fillable fields.
Your signature, your way
Create a signature once by drawing it with your mouse or finger, typing it in a signature font, or uploading an image. Drop it wherever it belongs, resize it to fit the line, and add it to more than one page if you need to. Text boxes can be resized and moved until everything lines up.
Notes and limits
Everything runs in your browser — your document and signature never leave your device, which is exactly what you want for a contract. This produces a visual signature suitable for everyday forms; it isn't a certified PKI e-signature with an audit trail. If your PDF already has interactive form fields, Fill Form can set those directly.
Working through longer forms
For a form with several pages, add the text boxes and dates page by page rather than trying to place everything at once — the tool remembers where you left off, and you can jump back to fix a field before applying. Checkboxes are just short text boxes with an X or checkmark character typed in, sized to fit inside the box printed on the page.
Where this fits alongside other tools
If the same signature needs to go on several separate documents, Sign PDF is a faster dedicated flow. If the PDF turns out to have real interactive fields after all, Fill Form writes into those directly instead of drawing over the page. Once a form is filled and signed, running Flatten merges everything into the page content so it can't be accidentally moved.
