How to Add a Blank Page to a PDF

Updated July 13, 2026

A document sometimes needs breathing room: a separator before a new section, a cover sheet, or a blank back page left for notes. Rather than rebuilding the file in another program, you can drop one in directly.

Steps

  1. Open Add Blank Page and drop your PDF.
  2. Choose where to insert it — the start, the end, or after a specific page — pick the page size, and how many you need.
  3. Click Add, then download the result.

Placement and size

You can insert at the very start, the very end, or after any page number, and add more than one blank page in a single pass if you need several gaps. Left alone, each new page matches the dimensions of its neighbor so the document stays visually consistent; if you need a fixed size instead, you can pin it to A4 or US Letter.

Notes

Everything runs locally, so your document never leaves your device while it’s being edited. If you actually need to move existing pages around rather than add new ones, Organize PDF gives you a visual grid for that. To remove pages instead, use Delete Pages.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I insert the blank page?
At the very start, the very end, or right after any page number you choose. You can insert several at once if you need more than one gap.
What size will the blank page be?
By default it matches the size of the page next to it, so it fits right into the document. You can also force it to A4 or US Letter instead.
Does my file get uploaded?
No. The page is inserted entirely in your browser — nothing leaves your device.
